Loretta Tovar's film credits date back to 1972, when she appeared as "Blonde Victim in Bed", in the film "El Gran Amor Del Conde Dracula", which starred the famous Spanish actor/writer/director Jacinto Molina, better known stateside as 'Paul Naschy'. She was prominently featured in two other films by Amando De Ossorio, "Ataque de los Muertos sin Ojos", a.k.a. "Return of the Blind Dead" (1973) and "Las Garras de Lorelei", a.k.a. "The Lorelei's Grasp" (1974). Ms. Tovar, who worked consistently throughout the 70's and early 80's, had a notable scene in the 1974 film "Open Season", and her last credited role, according to IMDB, was on a Spanish television show, "La Comedia Musical Espanola", 1985. As the photographer Carol, Loretta brings a vulnerable yet determined quality to her character, who will stop at nothing to achieve her goals, even blackmailing her fellow expedition members. Venturing out into the jungle at night alone, she proves to be brave, yet ultimately foolish as she meets up with not only the undead sorcerers, but the voodoo-transformed Agnes as well, now a fiendishly sadistic vampire bent on inflicting upon Carol the same horrible fate that she suffered herself.
