I have not been able to find much about Kali Hansa, who portrays the feisty and fiery yet insecure and jealous Tunika. She appeared in at least one other genre film, Amando De Ossorio's "La Endemoniada", a.k.a. "Demon Witch Child" (1975), a cult classic in which viewers are treated to the spectacle of a pre-teen girl transformed into a withered, bald old hag during periods of possession. Ms. Hansa brings a rather fun quality to her role of a medium. According to IMDB, Kali made her film debut in 1972, in the film "Silencio de Tumba", and was featured in about a dozen movies spanning the greater part of the 70's. Many of the films listed in her credits appear to be of the more adult variety, and it is unknown to me what her roles were like. Based on what I've seen of her performances, she has a strong screen presence, and shows a range of emotions in her facial features. It is too bad that she was not featured in more films, but perhaps she found her calling in stage rather than screen. As one of the only expedition members with common sense, she quickly decides that the best place for them to be is as far away from their current location as possible, but her only option for leaving proves to be a threatening one. Stuck in a bad situation getting inevitably worse, she can do nothing but wait and hope that when the others in the group decide to leave, that it is not too late.
